Think your opinion doesn't matter for much? Think
again. Timeshare owners have an inherent power to
affect the quality of timeshare in general, both by
voting in matters at their home resort -AND- by
accurately reporting their trade experiences at other
resorts. Telling your trade company details of your
trade experience is a powerful tool in keeping timeshare
resorts well maintained and managed.
It is the TRADE guest's detailed opinions of a resort that
are tracked and measured by trading companies to
determine the trade rating of a resort. Those traders'
opinions allow R.C.I., for example, to determine the
difference between a Gold Crown and un-rated resort.
Resort managers also pay close attention to the trade
comments since it is very important for the sake of a
resort's own owners trading "out" to have the
favorable comments of other folks trading "in".
In turn, the ratings compiled from your own trade
experiences and those of others allow for a consistency
when trading timeshare weeks. While it may not be as
certain as going from one McDonald's to another and
knowing what to expect in a cheeseburger - a resort
rating based upon the opinion of those doing the actual
trading does create a level of quality you can count on
when going to an unfamiliar resort. So, whether your
experience is good or bad, TELL THE RESORT, and TELL
YOUR TRADING COMPANY. There is real power in your
opinion.
