Thank you for reading our newsletter. I am dismayed
to hear the false stories told by resort timeshare sales
agents to prospective buyers regarding the benefits of
owning a timeshare from the resale market. These
sales agents would like you to believe that all benefits
are forfeited when a timeshare is resold through
anyone else. Nothing could be further from the
truth! It is a fact that you receive most major
benefits when you own any timeshare from Paradise
Real Estate and Timeshare Resale.
Frequently, sales agents for developers will
misrepresent the truth in an effort to justify the huge
difference in price compared to the resale market.
Obviously, their motivation is the big commission on
the sale. We hear this a lot from prospective buyers
who have talked with these devious agents. Let's use
the Marriott Timber Lodge as an example. It is true
that the benefits are not exactly the same.
If you become a Marriott timeshare owner through
Paradise Real Estate and Timeshare Resale, you
may not convert your timeshare week to Marriott
Reward Points. However, most of our clients say this
is not a good choice to make anyway. You are
required to swap your timeshare week, seven nights
in a luxurious one, two or three bedroom villa for only
a couple of nights in a hotel room. You are also
required to pay a fee to make this conversion and that
makes it even less attractive. Is this really a benefit?
The deceitful sales agent will make it sound like you
will be treated as a second-class citizen if you take
ownership of your timeshare on the resale market.
The sales agents must come up with an excuse to
explain the drastic difference in price so they claim the
Marriott Reward Points have great perks with airline
miles, travel packages, cruises, etc. I am sure the
developer does not agree with this sales philosophy
but they are in business to sell timeshares. They
must pay attention to the marketing budget. Most of
our clients feel this is a bad way to use your
timeshare week so converting to Marriott Reward
Points is irrelevant.
When you become an owner of a Marriott timeshare
from a private seller listed with Paradise Real Estate

high level of customer service. You can rest assured
that all Marriott owners are treated alike, regardless of
how they acquired their timeshare. They do not

properties. You can still exchange your week with
Interval International (II) and choose from more than
2000 fabulous resorts around the world. It is hard to
believe that some sales agents will claim that you
lose all benefits on the resale market but we hear it all
the time. It is just as ridiculous as a car dealer saying
that you could only resell your car back to that
dealership and nowhere else. You can tell this really
strikes a nerve with me.
